How many training licenses do I need?
ANSWER
One license per person is needed. Ask about discounts for groups of ten or more.

What’s the difference between the courses, Basic, Advanced and HIPAA Masters?
ANSWER
The Basic course is perfect for most employees at medical providers, hospitals, medical labs, nursing homes, and other entities that are regulated by HIPAA (“covered entities”).The Advanced course is designed for managers and anyone with HIPAA responsibilities, and anyone who just needs a deeper understanding of HIPAA and how to prevent violations. The HIPAA Masters Training is the perfect course for HIPAA Privacy and Security Officers, and everyone else in a leadership position impacted by HIPAA.

QUESTION
How long do the Basic, Advanced and HIPAA Masters Courses take to complete?
ANSWER
Our Basic course takes most learners about 30 minutes to complete, including the quiz.
Our Advanced course, including the quiz, is completed in about 60 minutes by most learners.
HIPAA Masters requires approximately 2 to 3 hours.

QUESTION
Is this an online training program?
ANSWER
Yes, all these courses are online training courses, and can be taken anytime from anywhere there is an Internet connection. Certificates of Completion are also provided online, after each learner completes the training and passes the quiz.

QUESTION
How do I buy the training?
ANSWER
Just click the “Purchase” link on the main page, on the navigation bar at the top. Or you may also purchase the training and other products dealing with HIPAA at www.hipaastore.com. After your online purchase, your login information will be immediately emailed to you at the email address you provide.

QUESTION
Will my learners each receive a Certificate with this training?
ANSWER
Yes, every person who completes our HIPAA Training courses receives a Certificate of Completion online, in their training “back-end” area. The Certificate is a beautiful, full-color, PDF file customized with the learner’s name, date, and the course they completed. Certificates become available only after a learner completes the course and passes the quiz.

QUESTION
How do my learners login?
ANSWER
First you must you purchase enough licenses for your group, and then you are assigned a unique Training ID Number. More details are on the Login page and the “Not Registered?” page.
New Learners: new learners simply go the main MyHIPAAtraining page and click the “Not Registered?” link in the upper left column. Then, input your company’s six-digit Account number, choose the Basic, Advanced or HIPAA Masters course to match your license, and fill in the information required. That’s it! The entire registration process takes about 30 seconds.
Returning Learners: Returning users just enter their Username and Password, and return to where they left off in the training.

QUESTION
I didn’t get my login information, what do I do?
ANSWER
First, check your “Spam” folders for the email that was sent to you. Most people who think they didn’t receive their login information find the MyHIPAATraining email in their Spam folders. If you still cannot find your login data, please email or call HIPAA Group for assiatance.

QUESTION
What if someone takes the quiz and doesn’t pass?
ANSWER
Learners have up to the (3) attempts to take and pass the quiz. A passing score is seventy percent (70%) or more correct answers.

QUESTION
How many questions are on the quizzes?
ANSWER
All of our courses contain a quiz with 20 multiple-choice questions, with the exception of
HIPAA Masters Training: The quiz for the HIPAA Masters course contains 30 multiple choice questions.

QUESTION
What if I used another persons name to buy the training?
ANSWER
You may change the learners name, but please do so before beginning the training.

Do I have re-train my employees every year?
ANSWER
HIPAA law requires re-training only when the regulations or your policies change substantially. Most healthcare entities re-train their employees at least annually to keep awareness high and to help prevent HIPAA violations. Also, consider using “awareness” materials like Posters, Awareness Cards, and our exclusive HIPAA-Tips products to maintain awareness all year long, between training sessions.
